Help Increase the Good Shepherd Flock
To further commemorate Good Shepherd’s 50th anniversary, a thankoffering will be collected October 2007 through December 2008. We hope to gather $50,000 with the funds being divided into three gifts: Past, with 25% going to Partners in Mission; Present, with 50% going to purchase new communion ware and a new outdoor church sign; and Future, with 25% going to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd Endowment Fund.
For every $1,000 collected, a lamb will be added to the Good Shepherd in the Welcome Area.
Keep track of how much has been collected in the thankoffering box of each month’s scroll.

Good Shepherd Family Camp Out
Good
Shepherd Family Camp Out will be held the week end of August 15 -17,
2008, at Eldon Hazlet State Park, Carlyle, IL. All are welcome
whether you camp or not. Some attendee’s tent camp, some
have trailers, some stay in nearby motels or cabins, and some just come
for the day and evening Service and Pot Luck, then return home.
Plan now to join in the fun. A swimming beach is nearby, also
fishing, boating, and golfing. Please sign up on the sheets on the
welcome area Kiosk.
CAMPING RESERVATIONS must be made now. To make Reservations please sign up by the Site Number you would like and contact Linda Beehn. Cost now is $23, (first nights fee plus reservation fee). Second nights fee of $15 will be due at check in.
CABIN OR MOTEL RESERVATIONS, you’re on your own to make reservations, which are highly recommended It’s not too early, the rooms seem to go fast. Check the list below for additional accommodations and their phone numbers:
